Most swirl marks in car paint are put there during drying, not washing. A premium microfiber towel prevents that by lifting water off the panel instead of pushing grit across it. The deep pile on this towel holds many times its own weight in water, so a full sedan or wagon can be dried in a single pass without wringing it out halfway through.
At 60 x 40 cm it is large enough to cover a bonnet in a few sweeps but still easy to fold into quarters for glass, door jambs and wheels. The edges are stitched with a soft silk band rather than a hard hem, which removes the usual hard seam that scratches clear coat. It works dry for water removal or damp for quick detailing, waxing and interior wipe-downs.
Wash it separately from cotton items in warm water with a mild detergent, skip the fabric softener, which clogs the fibres and destroys absorbency, and air dry or tumble on low. Treated that way, a single towel will outlast a stack of chamois cloths and shed no lint onto dark paint.
