Running air conditioning to cool one person at one desk is an expensive way to solve a small problem. This compact unit cools the space immediately around you instead: a fan draws air through a water-dampened filter, dropping the temperature of the stream that reaches you, while a humidifier function takes the edge off dry indoor air and an LED night light doubles it as a bedside lamp.
Fill the reservoir, set the speed and point the louvres where you want them. The whole thing is small enough for a desk, a bedside table, a study nook or a caravan bench, and it runs quietly enough to sleep through. There are no refrigerants and no exhaust hose, so nothing needs venting out a window, and the low draw makes it far cheaper to run than a portable air conditioner.
Available in black or white. Empty and rinse the reservoir every few days to keep the filter fresh, and use clean tap or filtered water only. Keep the unit upright and away from the edges of tables where it could be knocked over, and unplug it before filling or cleaning. Not suitable for use by young children without supervision.
